Abu Simbel Land Trip from Aswan
An early morning overland trip to the unique temples of Abu Simbel
You will be going on a road trip from Aswan for 240 Miles (230km) to visit the most southern ancient sites in Egypt, the land of Nubia.
The Abu Simbel Temples are located on the western bank of Lake Nasser, dedicated to Pharaoh Ramesses II and his queen Nefertari.
The whole complex was relocated by a multinational team of archeologists, engineers and skilled heavy equipment operators working together under the UNESCO banner costing US$40 million at the time between 1964 & 1968.
